Who we are
One of six private agricultural colleges affiliated to ANGRAU.
SBVR Agricultural College was established in 2016–17 under the Badvel & Sidhout Higher Education Committee, with a mandate to train the human resources Andhra Pradesh needs to meet its agricultural production targets.
Nearly 60% of India’s rural population still depends on agriculture and allied activities for a livelihood. For them, farming is a way of life that needs to become an enterprise — and that transformation needs trained people. The college exists to produce them.
Qualified faculty teach across disciplines from plant sciences to social sciences, so that students meet real rural situations, understand the farmer’s position, and learn to produce more at a lower cost of cultivation.

What we teach
B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture
A four-year honours degree, 150 seats a year, taught across twelve departments and examined by ANGRAU.
Two routes in
- 1 Intermediate route
A pass in the two-year Intermediate examination with Physical Sciences and Biological or Natural Sciences, plus a pass in EAPCET conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
- 2 Diploma route
A pass in SSC, a two-year Diploma in Agriculture from ANGRAU, and a pass in AGRICET conducted by ANGRAU.

A 2,970 sq ft library with a 50-terminal digital wing, twelve departmental laboratories, smart-board classrooms, two indoor stadiums, an eight-lane pool and 400 beds of hostel accommodation.

A crop cafeteria of student-managed plots, a five-acre mango orchard, a naturally ventilated polyhouse, an organic and natural farming block, and a farm pond — all worked by students, season after season.

An ICAR Peer Review Team of five inspected the campus on 25 June 2023. Accreditation runs from 13 July 2023 to 12 July 2028. The college has been affiliated to Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University since its first intake.
